About Big Tree Forest Therapy in the Fraser Valley, BC

Big Tree Forest Therapy offers guided forest bathing and forest therapy experiences in the Fraser Valley, BC, created for those who are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or disconnected from themselves and the world around them.

This is a space to slow down, reconnect with nature, and find your way back to a sense of calm, clarity, and belonging.

A Gentle, Nature-Led Approach to Healing

At Big Tree Forest Therapy, the forest is an active part of the therapeutic experience.

Through guided forest bathing sessions, you are invited to engage your senses, slow your pace, and reconnect with the natural world in a way that feels intuitive and accessible. There is no pressure to perform, share, or “do it right.” You are simply guided to notice, to feel, and to be present.

This practice can support those experiencing anxiety, burnout, grief, depression, post-traumatic stress, menopause, and the ongoing stress of modern life. It is also a powerful complement to traditional counselling, offering space between sessions to integrate, reflect, and restore.

Sessions are intentionally longer than traditional therapy, allowing your nervous system the time it needs to settle, soften, and begin to shift.

Meet Diana, Registered Social Worker & Forest Therapy Guide

Big Tree Forest Therapy was created by Diana, a Registered Social Worker with over 16 years of experience supporting individuals through trauma, grief, and life’s most difficult moments.

Her work has always been rooted in presence, listening without judgment, holding space without trying to fix, and trusting that each person has their own path forward.

When Diana experienced forest bathing for the first time, it came during a deeply challenging period in her life. What she found was not something that needed explanation—it was a felt sense of relief, connection, and something greater than herself.

In that moment, she recognized the power of nature as a quiet, steady support.

Now, she brings that experience to others—offering a space where you don’t have to explain everything, where the forest meets you exactly as you are.

The Story Behind Big Tree Forest Therapy

Big Tree Forest Therapy is rooted in something deeply familiar.

Most of us can recall a tree we’ve stood beside at some point in our lives, a place that felt grounding, steady, or quietly awe-inspiring.

Trees remind us that we are part of something larger. They offer stability, connection, and a sense of perspective that can be hard to find in the pace of everyday life.

This work is about helping you return to that feeling of awe, of belonging, and of connection that continues long after the session ends.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply tired in a way that rest doesn’t seem to fix, you’re not alone.

There is another way to move through what you’re experiencing, one that doesn’t require you to push harder or figure everything out on your own. This is an invitation to step outside, take a breath, and begin again—at your own pace, in your own way.
