Forest Therapy & Forest Bathing in the Fraser Valley, BC

What is forest bathing / forest-focused therapy?

Forest therapy is a guided, nature-based experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your senses, and find relief from the pace and pressure of everyday life.

At Big Tree Forest Therapy, I offer forest bathing sessions in the Fraser Valley for individuals and small groups who are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or simply in need of a deeper connection—to themselves, to others, and to nature.

Forest therapy (also known as forest bathing or Shinrin-Yoku) is a gentle, evidence-based practice that supports your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing through time spent in nature. In our time together, I guide you through simple invitations that help shift your focus away from overthinking and into your senses—what you can see, hear, smell, and feel—allowing your nervous system to begin to settle.

Many clients experience:

Reduced stress and anxiety

A sense of calm and clarity

Improved mood and emotional regulation

Relief from burnout and mental fatigue

A deeper sense of connection and belonging

You don’t need to be outdoorsy or experienced in nature. This practice meets you exactly where you are.

Training & Credentials

Forest therapy is especially supportive for those who feel like life hasn’t slowed down in a long time.

I often work with individuals who:

Are navigating stress, burnout, or decision fatigue

Are experiencing grief, loss, or major life transitions

Live with anxiety, depression, or PTSD

Work in high-pressure roles, including first responders and healthcare professionals

Are moving through menopause or significant life changes

Feel disconnected from themselves, others, or the natural world

You might be someone who used to feel connected—to hobbies, to people, to nature—but lately, it’s felt out of reach.

Forest therapy offers a way back.
